平成29年9月17日から22日に中国にて開催された「6th World Tribology Congress」において、卒業生の南亮輔さん（文理中学13期、文理高校28期）が「Numerical Experiments on the Dynamics of Sheared and Pulled-Off Single Asperity and the Origin of Sliding Friction」という題目でポスター発表を行い、「Best Poster Award」を受賞しました。
